(CercleFinance.com) – Pernod Ricard today carried out a new bond issue denominated in euros for an aggregate amount of 1.1 billion euros spread over two tranches: a tranche with a maturity of 6 years for an amount of 600 million euros and a 10-year tranche for an amount of 500 million euros.
The transaction is Pernod Ricard’s second ‘Sustainability-Linked’ issue.
The transaction is linked to two environmental commitments: to reduce the absolute amount of the group’s greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1&2) and to reduce water consumption per unit of alcohol produced in the group’s distilleries.
This transaction is in line with Pernod Ricard’s desire to integrate sustainable development factors into its operations and its financing strategy, in line with the group’s social and environmental responsibility policy.
