One of the threatening letters addressed to the governor stated, among other things, that he “will experience his personal Christmas miracle”. The Office for the Protection of the Constitution has started investigations. “Disarmament of Words” The Vorarlberg state parliament parties had only called for a “disarmament of words” in the state parliament on Wednesday. In view of the demonstrations against corona measures and compulsory vaccination, Wallner noted a “certain disruption in society” that worried him. “I have never experienced such a heated atmosphere in my time as a politician”, stated the regional chief. Death threats against Tyrolean governorIn Tyrol similar letters were already circulating against politicians on Wednesday: Governor Günther Platter (ÖVP) and other politicians threatening letters in the past few days including death threats. Allegedly suspicious objects were also found. In these cases too, the police and the Office for the Protection of the Constitution are investigating.
