ChatGPT is entering our cars while the Volkswagen Golf integrates the chatbot into its cabin. In France, Peugeot is following suit by adding OpenAI artificial intelligence to its vehicles. This is what Jérôme Micheron, product director of the brand, revealed during a press conference.
Peugeot vehicles will benefit from ChatGPT in 2024
“We will introduce ChatGPT in all cars, including the new e-3008, and also small and compact utility vehicles” announces Jérôme Micheron as reported by Reuters. The OpenAI voice assistant will answer users’ questions and help them with navigation. Peugeot has not given more details about all the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence.
It is on Wednesday January 31 that ChatGPT arrives in pilot version in 5 countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain and England. This is a new standard which will extend throughout 2024 according to Peugeot.
Peugeot extends its warranty for the new e-3008
The new e-3008 will also be entitled to a new 8-year warranty compared to 2 currently. Peugeot has extended this guarantee to allow motorists to switch to electric more peacefully. Despite the ecological bonus, some do not yet dare to take the plunge.
This 8-year warranty covers the batteries, electric motor, charger, powertrain, main electrical and mechanical components. However, you will need to carry out the maintenance service in an approved network every two years or every 25,000 kilometers to be entitled to it.
