Philips unveils its new ultra-short-throw projector
Notice to all lovers of ultra-short throw projectors, Philips unveils Screeneo 4, its brand new Full HD model capable of delivering an 80″ diagonal image at a projection distance of only 30 cm. The manufacturer thus promises a very compact, able to be discreet in the living room, but also in a bedroom or in a kitchen, and able to deliver a real cinematic experience.
Thus, installed about 20 cm from a wall, it allows you to enjoy an image with a diagonal of 60″ (i.e. 152 cm), and at 30 cm, the diagonal obtained is then 80″. Philips promises quick and easy operation, with autofocus, not to mention keystone and four-corner correction, to avoid any form of image distortion or distortion.
HDMI 2.0, audio 2.1 and HDR10 compatibility
” After the huge success of the Screeneo U3, we immediately understood that we would have to go even further with the Philips Screeneo U4 from a technological point of view, while opting for a more compact format. », stresses Dan Mamane, President of Screeneo Innovation SA.
On the connection side, we find here two HDMI 2.0 ports, a USB-A port (to connect, for example, a Chromecast or an Amazon Fire Stick) and a 3.5 mm jack. The Screeneo U4 also offers a “2.1 sound system”, supported in particular by two 15 W speakers. Philips announces HDR10 compatibility, not to mention an LED source which has a longevity of 30,000 hours.
This new Philips Screeneo U4 projector comes with an international charger and a remote control, and has been available for a few days now at a price of 599 euros (instead of 1,199 euros), exclusively on the Indiegogo platform.
