Our former Chancellor Angela Merkel is currently fulfilling a great wish – a trip to Italy. After her visit to Florence, she has now been spotted in the state capital, Rome. The 67-year-old walked the streets of the historic center and visited, among other things, the Piazza della Minerva, as reported by Italian media – and always accompanied by security personnel. Taking a trip to Italy while war is raging in Ukraine has also brought criticism to the Chancellor.
