The spectacular “Weisse Rausch”, the legendary ski race in St. Anton am Arlberg, took place on Saturday. After the lifts closed, 555 daredevil and daring winter sports enthusiasts fought their way down from Galzig into the valley.
Due to weather and safety reasons, the start and route of the 25th edition of the “Weissen Rausch” had to be changed. The race started on Galzig for the first time! After a sweaty climb towards the Galzig summit, the new route led over the blue slopes No. 59 and 61 to the black slope No. 52 (Kandahar) and then followed the regular route. The best pictures from the event: These are the big winners : The joy of the victory was written on Regina Wintersteller’s face. It took her eleven minutes, 14 seconds and exactly 43 hundredths. Dieter Bischof from Vorarlberg won the men’s event. It took him eight minutes, 43 seconds and 38 hundredths.
