Pierre Palmade accident: the actor avoids prison, but under certain conditions

While his police custody ended, Pierre Palmade was referred this Friday, February 17. He is indicted, placed under judicial control and will have to wear an electronic bracelet.

Events follow one another Pierre Palmade. Just released from hospital in Melun, in Seine-et-Marne, the 54-year-old comedian had taken over the court this Friday, February 17, reported BFMTV. Since Wednesday, February 15, he was placed in police custody in connection with the serious car accident that occurred on Friday, February 10 and in which he is involved. His police custody having now ended, he had therefore been brought before an investigating judge and charged.

As CNews announces, the comedian avoids remand and will be placed under judicial supervision, assigned to residence and will have to wear an electronic bracelet. It was during a hearing behind closed doors that the judge of freedoms and detention announced this decision.

As a reminder, on February 10, Pierre Palmade was involved in a terrible road accident. While driving his car, in Seine-et-Marne, he swerved to the left lane, hitting another vehicle head-on. The comedian seriously injured a pregnant woman, who later lost her baby, a man and his six-year-old son. An investigation into homicide and involuntary injuries by driver resulting in total incapacity for work for more than three months has been opened. The toxicological analyzes also made it possible to reveal that the former acolyte of Michèle Laroque was under the influence of cocaine and substitute drugs at the time of the tragedy.

The two fugitives also referred

The Melun prosecutor’s office quoted by BFMTV specified that Pierre Palmade was presented to an examining magistrate “in the context of an open judicial investigation of the counts of manslaughter and involuntary injuries resulting in total incapacity for work of more than three months by driver having used narcotics committed as a legal recidivism”.

Just like the actor the two passengers who were with him in the vehicle at the time of the accident were also referred before the examining magistrate for failure to assist a person in danger. They are not indicted but placed under the status of assisted witness, as explained by BFMTV. The two men are notably accused of having fled before the arrival of help.
