Pierre Palmade accident: the fugitives tell what they did after fleeing the scene of the tragedy

Present in the vehicle driven by Pierre Palmade on February 10, the two fugitives who accompanied him were finally heard by the investigators and placed in police custody.

While the firefighters had to deploy many means to extricate Pierre Palmade from his vehicle, the two men who accompanied him took to their heels just after the tragedy. Placed in police custody and heard by the investigators, they explained their immediate schedule after fleeing.

A leak before recovering their belongings from Pierre Palmade

The two young men aged 33 and 34, ex-escorts boys according to our colleagues from Le Parisien, “had been seeing the comedian for several months” who regularly hosted them at his home. At the time of the accident, while one of them had “swore to have fallen asleep and not to have seen that Pierre Palmade was changing trajectory”, they suddenly fled, as stated by several witnesses. To the investigators, the first to be heard explained that at the initiative of his sidekick, they had returned to the comedian to collect their belongings, and admitted to having consumed cocaine on that famous day, confirming the statements of Pierre Palmade. The actor was indeed also heard under the regime of police custody, while he was still hospitalized for multiple injuries.

It is this Friday, February 17 that the police custody must end, after the second young man went to the Melun police station. The Public Prosecutor will then make his decision as to the legal follow-up to be given to this case: either an opening of information by an investigating judge, who could be accompanied by temporary detention for Pierre Palmade after his indictment, i.e. a preliminary investigation. In any case, the two fugitives risk prosecution for “non-assistance to a person in danger” and the comedian, more seriously responsible, “homicide and involuntary injuries”. Thursday, February 16, the six-year-old boy, accident victim came out of a comawhile the vital prognosis of his father, driver of the other 38-year-old vehicle, is still involved despite the six operations he has undergone.
