Ihe city of Fameck in Moselle was to host the play They love each other !, co-written by Pierre Palmade and Muriel Robin. But the town decided to deprogram it after the accident he caused under the influence of cocaine and the investigation into the possession of child pornography images targeting him, the mayor said on Friday.

The decision to deprogram the cult piece was taken unanimously by the municipal office, explained Michel Liebgott, according to which the city of Montargis (Loiret), which was to host the same show, took a similar decision. The show, played by a Parisian troupe, was scheduled for March 10 in the Victor Hugo municipal hall in this city of around 15,000 inhabitants, north of Metz.

First “surprised” and “shocked […] by what happened”, the “evolutions” of the case “seemed to us a little worrying, like the use of cocaine: I am in a city where there is a sensitive urban area, we cannot advocate on the one hand the fight against narcotics […] and at the same time don’t care [du fait] than an artist [en] uses, with the consequences that it can have, ”argued the chosen one.

Replaced by another show

Michel Liebgott also mentioned the investigation for possession of child pornography images targeting the comedian to justify the choice of his municipality. The play has been replaced by another show to be performed by the same troupe, he added. They love each other ! evokes the vagaries of married life. Pierre Palmade interpreted it with Muriel Robin and Michèle Laroque.

The 54-year-old actor was indicted in Melun for homicide and involuntary injuries after the serious road accident he caused on February 10 in Seine-et-Marne, under the influence of cocaine. The collision left three seriously injured in the same family: a man, his six-year-old son and his pregnant sister-in-law, who lost her baby. At the same time, he is also targeted by an investigation for possession of child pornography images.
