The new Pirelli calendar 2024 appears under the title “Timeless”. Above all, supermodel Naomi Campbell is timeless.

The tire manufacturer Pirelli presented the anniversary edition of its famous “The Cal” in London on November 30th. For the 50th Pirelli calendar, which is now in its 60th year, the Ghanaian artist Prince Gyasi (28) photographed personalities under the title “Timeless”.

“We are not born ‘timeless’, we become so,” Prince Gyasi is quoted as saying in a press release. For the artist, the people he photographed were “like superheroes, but at the same time approachable.”

Naomi Campbell becomes a “time stopper”

The Pirelli calendar 2024 will also include, among other things Naomi Campbell (53) can be seen as a “time stopper”. Campbell posed for the fifth time for “The Cal”, for which Gyasi wanted to tell a story about what makes a person “timeless” in his eyes.

“If you look at characters like Naomi, she doesn’t belong to my generation, but she is still an icon of my generation. That can only happen if you are committed to your work and your beliefs,” Gyasi continues. He particularly wants to inspire young people: “I hope that they understand that they can do anything they want to do if they just try hard enough and are determined.” The 28-year-old is one of the youngest artists ever to take photographs for the calendar, which was first published in 1964. Gyasi follows Emma Summerton (2023 calendar) and rock singer Bryan Adams (2022 calendar).

Other of his recordings have titles such as “The Blueprint”, “Man of Honour”, “Royal House” and “The Future Ahead”. In addition to Campbell and himself, he also used British Hollywood star Idris Elba (51), his US colleagues Angela Bassett (65) and Teyana Taylor (32), writer and poet Amanda Gorman (25), and author Margot Lee for his photos Shetterly (54), the Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage (43) and His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II (73) in the scene.
