Our Pixel 7a review published this week revealed one thing: it’s no better than the Pixel 6a. In any case, not on all points, one in particular, autonomy. Unfortunately, the newcomer does much worse than its predecessor, so much so that we can wonder if the Pixel 6a would not be the 7a’s best opponent.
Because last year’s model is still fully relevant to the competition. Its photo part is very close to high-end smartphones, its screen will satisfy most consumers, its performance is close to that of the Pixel 7a and, above all, its autonomy is much greater. A criterion that leans very strongly in the balance when you have to acquire a new laptop.
Since the start of the year, the 2022 vintage can easily be unearthed below the €400 mark. Let’s face it, it’s still an excellent deal when it comes to a Google Pixel. At this price, you will have in your possession a seasoned and complete photophone. You will certainly not benefit from a slab refreshed at 90 Hz and better brightness, as well as wireless charging, but if you can live without it, the 6a stands out as the best value for money.
