The “Android Police” site has obtained new information on the Google Pixel Watch, enough to give an idea of the release date as well as its technical characteristics.

It’s an open secret. We have known for more than a year that Google is actively working on the development of its very first connected watch, known under the code name “Rohan” and which should be launched commercially under the name Pixel Watch.
While we had no news of the smartwatch for several months, this is the site Android Police who added a piece this Wednesday in the rumor machine. The site specializing in the news of the Google ecosystem has indeed learned from one of its sources that the code name of the Pixel Watch, Rohan, had appeared in the database of an American operator. Specifically, it’s the mention of the Pixel Watch within the watch’s inventory system. A simultaneous appearance with that of another device from the firm, the future Google Pixel 6a smartphone.
Concretely, this should mean that the two devices should be marketed at the same time. However, traditionally, smartphones from Google’s Pixel a range are launched in the spring. As Android Police reminds us, leaker Max Jambor had already revealed that the Google Pixel 6a should be announced around the Google I/O conference in May. It is therefore on this date that we should also officially discover the Google Pixel Watch.
Information on storage, colors or connectivity
In addition to the presence of “Rohan” in the American operator’s inventory system, Android Police also discovered some information regarding the different variations of the watch. The American site indicates in particular that the Google Pixel Watch will be offered with 32 GB of storage. According to its source, the connected watch will also be offered in three colors: gray, black or gold. The watch should also be offered in Bluetooth and Bluetooth + 4G versions.
As a reminder, the Google Pixel Watch should be the very first connected watch from Google. It should benefit from a round Amoled screen with borders extending to the metal case and would benefit from a rotating crown, like the Apple Watch. The watch would also be equipped with a chip designed by Samsung engraved in 5 nm and not a Snapdragon processor.
