Play Beyond: Sui Gaming Summit, a Web3 gaming event

Sui is a level 1 blockchain and smart contracts platform based on the Move programming language. A language that brings to mind the Libra cryptocurrency project, then later Diem which was pushed by Meta before being abandoned.

It is not a coincidence. Mysten Labs is the original contributor to Sui and the Sui Foundation for a more decentralized internet and Web3. Its founding members include the kingpins of Libra.

Next March, an event Play Beyond: Sui Gaming Summit will be organized in San Francisco in the United States by Mysten Labs and the Sui Foundation. In parallel with the Game Developers Conference and on March 19, it will be a question of Web3 games leveraging the Sui platform.

For the Web3 gaming revolution

The Play Beyond: Sui Gaming Summit is where game developers, executives, and enthusiasts converge to share ideas, learn about the next generation of Web3 gaming, and make lasting industry contacts.

The conference is aimed at both veterans in the video game industry who are starting to explore blockchain, and Web3 experts interested in what an architecture like Sui’s offers.

An aspect often highlighted with Web3 games is the true ownership of assets obtained or purchased by players, with the ability to transport them to various universes and virtual worlds, or even resell them. An entire economy based on blockchain technology.

CCP Games in keynote

The Play Beyond: Sui Gaming Summit will begin with a speech from Hilmar Veigar Pétursson who is the boss of CCP Games. This Icelandic video game publisher is known for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game EVE Online.

The event will notably focus on features of the Sui platformsuch as dynamic assets integrated into games and the application of royalties.
