The wives of well-known footballers are often rich stars themselves. The “Sun” has now published a money ranking.
They are players’ wives, but also well-known stars in their own right: The British newspaper “The Sun” has published a ranking of the richest wives or partners of footballers, based on a study by “Gambling Zone”. Rebekah Vardy (41) is in tenth place. The reality TV star wife of Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, 36, is reportedly worth £3 million.
According to “The Sun” Perrie Edwards (30) comes in ahead of her in ninth place with an estimated 7 million pounds (8.1 million euros). The 30-year-old is a successful pop star and member of Little Mix. The singer is engaged to British professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (30). Perhaps surprisingly for many, Cristiano Ronaldo’s (38) partner is “only” in eighth place with a reported £9 million: Georgina Rodriguez (29) has over 53 million followers on Instagram. She is also the star of a Netflix documentary and a sought-after model.
A German is also way ahead
The former German soccer player Bastian Schweinsteiger (39) married Ana Ivanović (36), a successful tennis player, in 2016. According to the Sun, the former number one in the tennis world is in seventh place in the ranking of the richest women players, behind Coleen Rooney (37) with an estimated net worth of 15 million pounds (17.4 million euros). The wife of England star Wayne Rooney (38) is, among other things, an author and TV presenter.
Antonela Roccuzzo (35) rings in the top five with an estimated 16 million pounds (18.6 million euros). Lionel Messi’s wife (36) is a sought-after model and social media star. Ahead of her is a German star, Ann-Kathrin Götze (33), in fourth place. The former “GNTM” participant and wife of professional soccer player Mario Götze (31) is successful as a model and influencer. According to the report, Anna Lewandowska (35), wife of Robert Lewandowski (35), comes in third place. She started out as an entrepreneur and works in the nutrition and fitness sector.
Pilar Rubio (45), who comes in second with a reported £47 million (€54.6 million), is a Spanish television presenter and the wife of Sergio Ramos (37). Before her TV career, she was a well-known model. In front of her in the list is probably the most famous player’s wife in the world: Victoria Beckham (49), with an estimated fortune of 55 million pounds (around 64 million euros). The wife of David Beckham (48) probably earned most of her money as a member of the famous Spice Girls and has worked as a fashion designer for many years.
