Sony could release a more powerful console, a PS5 Pro, at the end of 2024. The Japanese publisher has not yet announced such a model, but fans and industry experts are firmly expecting an upcoming release.
Developer consoles, so-called “dev kits”, are already in circulation, but developers are not very enthusiastic about them. This is probably not due to the device as such, but rather to their opinion that there is currently no need for a PS5 Pro.
They wouldn’t need a console like this and many feel like they haven’t yet exhausted the potential of the currently available PS5. That’s what the well-connected journalist from GamesIndustry.biz says, as Pushssquare reports.
Sony, on the other hand, has expectations for this console update and many game fans will probably buy the device. Thanks to a new feature, the PS5 Pro should offer 4K resolution at 60 frames per second (FPS) and even 8K resolution at 30 FPS.
