Paid for and yet gone: Sony has decided to clean out the film and series catalog of its paying customers. More than 300 pieces of digital content will only be available for a few weeks, then they will be gone forever. Sony also gives a reason for the action.
PlayStation Store: Sony deletes films and series
Sony has just answered the question of whether digitally acquired content is really bought or just borrowed. By August 31, 2022 some Movies and series are no longer available on the PlayStation. This also applies to content that customers have spent money on in the past. These are only available for a few weeks.
Sony is currently informing its customers via email that various content will no longer be offered from September 1, 2022. Due to “evolving license agreements with content providers” the same over 300 films and series from Studio Canal be removed from the video library.
