PlayStation Plus: deployment dates for new offers including PS Now revealed

Last month, Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled its plans for the redesign of Playstation Plusin which the PS Nowwith the result of offering three levels of subscription to subscribers, the first retaining what is currently done for the same price. The question of deployment was then postponed with a vague “June 2022” for only perspective. Well, we now have a clear timetable communicated on the PlayStation-Blog.

Finally, it is from the end of May that certain territories will see these new offers land, with Europe coming last at the end of June.

We are hard at work launching the service and wanted to update you on the latest progress. Our new offer for PlayStation Plus will be rolling out earlier in select Asian markets, followed by Japan. Here is an overview of our new deployment plan by region.

  • Asia (excluding Japan) – release scheduled for May 23, 2022
  • Japan – scheduled for release June 1, 2022
  • Americas – scheduled for release June 13, 2022
  • Europe – release scheduled for June 22, 2022

Additionally, we will be offering cloud streaming access in the following countries (bringing the total number of countries with cloud streaming access to 30**). The following markets will also have the Premium tier for PlayStation Plus when the service launches: Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
