For a few days, Apple has been offering the brand new iOS 15.4 update.

A version that seems to pose some autonomy concerns for some iPhone users…

Battery life issues with iOS 15.4?

Launched late last year with the new iPhone 13 generation, iOS 15 continues to be refined by Apple engineers with regular updates. The latest, iOS 15.4, brings its share of new features and other optimizations, but also seems to cause some malfunctions for some users.

iOS 15.4 update available

Indeed, some iPhone users have noticed a flagrant drop in the autonomy of their smartphone since the migration to iOS 15.4. A concern that affects the new iPhone 13 Pro (whose 120 Hz compatibility has been activated on certain applications), but also older iPhones.

A concern for autonomy that is not new at Apple, some iOS updates tend to drain the battery of the smartphone abnormally. However, as explained GizChinathis phenomenon would not only be “ normal “, but also ” temporary “.

A temporary drop in form

Thus, installing an update activates a series of tasks in the background, and these different tasks, such as the calibration of the battery, drain its autonomy. A calibration that sometimes takes a few days, and it is only after this step that everything is likely to be back to normal.

In other words, if you have noticed a decline in the shape of your iPhone for a few days (and you have installed iOS 15.4), there is no need to send your smartphone to the after-sales service. It should quickly regain its former vigor once the calibration phase is complete. For its part, Apple has not confirmed any problem, battery or otherwise, directly related to iOS 15.4.
