Rachid Hafassa was immediately taken into police custody “with his rights deferred taking into account his state of intoxication”as pointed out Le Figaro. According to an article in Le Parisien published this Tuesday, April 2, barely an hour before the writing of this article, the actor would then have been tried in immediate appearance on Friday, March 29. It would have been “found guilty of contempt against a person holding public authority based on race, ethnicity, nation or religion, of violence aggravated by two circumstances resulting in incapacity of less than 8 days and of public insult based on origin, ethnicity, nation, race or religion”, as the Marseille prosecutor’s office declared to our colleagues. Rachid Hafassa was sentenced to six months in prison with a two-year probationary suspension.

Physical violence and racist insults: the bus driver filed a complaint directly after the altercation

According to information relayed by Le Figaro And Provence, Rachid Hafassa is said to have deliberately attacked the bus driver of the Régie des transports métropolitains de Marseille by hitting him several times in the face, while uttering racist insults. Aged 32 and from the Comoros, the driver was taken to Timone hospital, where he then decided to file a complaint against the actor. The incident between the two individuals took place around 8 p.m., rue d’Endoume, in the 7th arrondissement of Marseille, on bus line number 80.
