As Valentine’s Day approaches in “More beautiful life, even more beautiful”, Thomas will reveal to Aya, the clerk at the bar Le Mistral, why Killian and Betty are separated.
In the finale of Plus belle la vie broadcast on France 3 in November 2022, Killian (Tim Rousseau) and Betty (Horya Benabet) put the ring on each other’s fingers after several months of tumultuous relationship and numerous adventures.
But during the launch of Plus belle la vie, even plus belle, on January 8 on TF1, viewers did not fail to notice that the young man was now single. But what happened during the one-year hiatus? A extract from episode 26 finally gives us an answer.
Why are Killian and Betty separated?
The most observant viewers will surely have noticed that Killian always wore a wedding ring on his ring finger. A small detail that Aya (Johanna Boyer), the new clerk at the Le Mistral bar, also noticed. Curious, the young woman turns to Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) for explanations.
The young man’s brother then explains that Killian got married a little over a year ago. Aya is very surprised, she has never seen her wife. Thomas confides to him that it’s a bit complicated. After their marriage, Betty and Killian left to travel the world.
Unfortunately, the young man returned a few months ago, alone. Betty left him when they were in Canada and she hasn’t heard from him since. Aya then asks if they divorced.
Thomas explains to him that they haven’t done it yet. Betty is indeed someone of a “not very special”. Aya can’t come to terms with the idea of Killian being married. He never talks about it. Thomas explains to him that it’s still a little raw. Aya now understands why her employer hates Valentine’s Day so much.
Betty will be back soon
This long-awaited extract therefore finally allows us to have an explanation on the outcome of the marriage between Killian and Betty. A scene all the more important as we learned a few days ago that Horya Benabet, who lends his features to the character, will soon be back in Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle. The rebellious young woman, who had a complicated relationship with Killian (the young man had in fact hit her in an excess of jealousy), will therefore probably return in order to offer a conclusion to this story, and perhaps finally allow for her husband to move on.
For the moment, we do not know how long Horya Benabet will be present in Plus belle la vie, even more. Will it be there for the duration of an ark? Or is she planning to stay longer?
