Alongside the launch of its F4 GT smartphone, the Chinese manufacturer Poco presents its first connected watch, soberly called Poco Watch. A rectangular format watch with AMOLED screen and GPS which is positioned below the 100 € mark.
Nowadays, every self-respecting smartphone manufacturer has its connected watch. Poco had not yet taken the leap and today presents its Poco Watch, a connected watch at a low price, classic but complete.
In appearance very close to a Redmi Watch 2 Lite, the Poco Watch adopts a rectangular format, visibly inspired by the Apple Watch. Its case, on the other hand, is made of polymer and its strap is made of TPU, so as to maintain a fairly low price, but also to offer a fairly light watch: 31 g, strap included. In addition, its thickness does not exceed 10 mm (9.98 mm) and its dimensions remain reasonable (34.4 x 39.1 mm), which should make it quite discreet on the wrist.
In terms of display, the Poco Watch benefits from a large 1.6 “Amoled screen of 320 x 360 pixels, for a definition of 301 dpi. We should therefore benefit from fairly thin borders, whose black merges with that of the screen.
On the sensor side, there is of course an accelerometer, gyroscope and electronic compass, as well as a heart rate sensor (with continuous monitoring possible), but also an SpO2 sensor to measure blood oxygen saturation. An indicator that is used to monitor the quality of sleep and can help detect possible sleep apnea.
The Poco Watch can also count on a chip compatible with GPS, Glonass, Galileo and Beidou which gives it total autonomy for outdoor physical activities. As such, it has more than 100 sports modes and also boasts 5 ATM water resistance which makes it compatible with swimming.
On the autonomy side, Poco announces no less than 14 days of operation in normal use thanks to a 225 mAh battery. Charging takes place via a magnetic charger.
As with its smartphones, Poco remains reasonable on the price, offering its Watch at €89.99. The watch will be available in three colors (black, white, blue) starting May 10 at Amazon and Poco’s online store.
