Podcast. Trans coming out and families

By revealing a gender other than that of their birth, transgender people are shaking up the ways in which they are perceived and named. When they come out, family and friends are often confused and ask themselves many questions.

How crucial is this event for trans people to reveal their gender to those around them? How can families receive and respond to this information?

On the occasion of the Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans Pride March which takes place on June 26 in Paris, Jane Roussel, journalist at World, looks back on his investigation of families and transidentity.

Un episode produced by Clément Baudet, directed by Matthieu Gasnier and presented by Jean-Guillaume Santi.
