On February 25, 2022 the time has come. Then comes the newest expansion, Sword & Shield—Shining Stars of the popular Pokémon TCG. We can already exclusively present two of the new cards to you.
Pokémon fans are currently getting their money’s worth. On the one hand, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a brand new switch adventure on the shelves, which our colleagues on spieletipps have already been able to test, and on the other hand there will soon be supplies for all lovers of the official trading card game.
In the Sword & Shield – Radiant Stars expansion, you can discover lots of new cards to be well-prepared for the next tournament. The VSTAR cards are brand new. These are marked with a white border and have a particularly powerful VSTAR power that you can only use once per game.
Overall, the following content awaits you in Sword & Shield – Bright Stars:
- 3 Pokémon VMAX
- 20 Pokémon-V and 15 full-screen Pokémon-V
- 22 trainer cards and 6 full-screen supporter cards
- 1 new special energy card
Exclusive preview cards: Marys Stolz & MorpekoV
In order to give you a detailed insight into the upcoming expansion, we are able to exclusively introduce you to two cards from the new set.
Fighting spirit, determination and heavy metal! Mary’s Pride showcases the best that Spikeford Challenger has to offer, allowing you to attach a basic Energy card from your discard pile directly to a Benched Pokémon to prepare it for the battle ahead. Rock on!
Don’t get in the way of a hungry Morpeko! Despite its small size, the Pokémon packs a punch! Extreme Cabbage can deal 120 damage, but if Mary’s Pride is played, the damage doubles to 240! Morpeko V can also grab and run using Chew and Run, which deals 30 damage and returns him to the bench!
