Niantic has revealed the Pokémon Go Star Hours schedule for January 2022. With Nucleos, Posipi and Négapi On the menu, there is something to be impatient with.
Featured Hour is one of Niantic’s most beloved weekly events in Pokémon Go. Each week, a different Pokémon is propelled into the limelight, offering very high spawn rates and a double special bonus.
For an hour, Trainers will have the chance to catch as many Pokémon of that specific species as they can, providing the perfect opportunity to complete their Pokédex and earn enough candy to evolve and upgrade those Pokémon.
Likewise and in parallel with these star hours, a Community Day around the adorable Obalie has already been confirmed by Niantic. It will be held on January 16. These events are the perfect opportunity for trainers to catch as many Pokémon as possible, evolve them, and possibly complete your collection of shiny Pokémon.
What’s the next Featured Pokémon? Date, time and bonus
Niantic has revealed that the next Featured Hour will be about Nucleos and that it will take place on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
Nucleos will therefore be the first Pokémon to be honored in 2022 on Pokémon Go.
The Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild for a short period of time, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., local hour. This means that you will be able to participate and catch it wherever you are playing in the world.
In addition to this, players will be able to enjoy a number of Double candy during transfers thanks to the bonus of the event.
Is there a Shiny version of Nucleos in Pokémon Go?
Unfortunately, the chromatic version of Nucleos is not available on Pokémon Go. As a result, none of its evolutions, whether Meios or Symbios shiny, can be caught either.

How to prepare for the Featured Hour of Nucleos in Pokémon Go
As the Highlights are only 60 minutes long, there are a number of things you can do to prepare to make sure you don’t waste precious time:
- Make sure you have enough Poké Balls
- Make sure you have enough Berries to get duplicate candies or to make it easier to catch
- Empty storage box Pokémon to make room
- Save the Pokepieces and buy at least two Incense for the event
In addition to these tips, Featured Hours are the perfect opportunity to use items such as Lucky Eggs or Stardust to increase the XP you earn during the event.

Spawn rate and Shiny rate during Featured Hour
The spawn rate of each Featured Hour Pokémon is increased for 60 minutes during these events, which means you will have plenty of opportunities to catch each species.
