Pokémon Go: Obalie Community Day (January 2022)

The next Community Day on Pokémon Go will take place this Sunday, January 16, 2022! The event will be dedicated to Obalie and if you are lucky, you will leave with one or more shiny.

Community Days are monthly events that feature at least one specific Pokémon. In addition to the increase in the appearance rate, we can find exclusive Special Studies related to the event, bonuses such as double XP and rare attacks to unlock.

After an eventful month of December, Niantic has just announced that Obalie, the Pokémon Clap Clap (true), will be the star Pokémon of the Community Day in January !

Following the trends of previous Community Day events, Phogleur (Obalie’s evolution) will be able to learn a attack exclusive during the event when you will evolve it into Kaimorse. Here’s everything you need to know for Community Day in January 2022.

How to prepare well for the Obalie Community Day

Niantic

You will need the maximum number of Poké Balls for the Community Day event.

If you are planning to participate in Community Day, here are our tips for preparing ideally and getting the most out of the event:

  • Buy at least two Encens (duration increased to 3 hours) to use throughout the day and keep every Leurres that you have.
  • Have LOTS of Poké Balls in order to capture as many Pokémon as possible during the day
  • Make room in your pokemon box
  • Buy a ticket (if you wish) to the store to unlock the Community Day Special Study

Will Obalie shiny be available?

Who says Community Day obviously says shiny hunting. Obalie is no exception to the rule and you will of course be able (moderately a small dose of luck), to capture a chromatic version of Obalie! To do this, no secret, catch as many Obalie as possible or, if you do not have the time or the resources in Pokéballs, try to check all the Obalie around you hoping to find a shiny.
