Pokemon Legends Arceus Achieves Second-Best Launch of a Switch Game in Japan

Pokemon is more than ever a series that pays off, as evidenced by the figures from Nintendo published this morning, which gave pride of place to the latest remakes. And Pokemon Legends Arceus should be just as popular as those installments, as it has already achieved the 4th best start to the series in Britain. Before having a little more global results on the title’s sales, the Famitsu magazine tells us that this episode also makes a canon start in Japan.

The excitement is there

Last November, it was already reported that Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl had the second best start of a Switch game in Japan, taking into account the first three days of marketing, which included 1.4 million games sold. These remakes just got overtaken by Pokemon Legends Arceus, which reached 1.43 million sales during the same time.

A difference which is certainly not incredible, but it must be remembered that this latest opus has only one version, unlike the remakes. It is always Animal Crossing: New Horizons which reigns supreme with its 1.8 million sales at launch.
