Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: An open world too ambitious for the license?


Pokemon Scarlet and Purple come out in just under two days and fans are waiting for this November 18 with perhaps more fervor than the end of year celebrations. In line with Arceus, this new game from the license to promises from Open World fantasy attracts the eyes of many players around the world but what is it really?

Drastic changes to core game elements

The mode Ahead for example no longer looks like a beta of his version Arceus and the loots are less useful in this title too. On-the-fly capture has also disappeared. On the side of cities, stores are in the end only facades and we are far from the possible visits in the previous titles. So we can say that the game is indeed a Rich Open World, but when you approach a little closer you can quickly see the sacrifice generated by this choice.
