The ninth generation of Pokémon gives its news in a new trailer. Three minutes where we see a little gameplay, mainly characters running in the game’s environments, and a cinematic to introduce the new legendaries. Before offering a release date for Pokemon Scarlet and Purplewhich will be available on November 18 on Nintendo Switch.
On the gameplay side, two things to report for the moment. The format classic of the franchise seems to be taking back its rights, with wild Pokémon to face and many trainer battles. Even if the two titles want to “turn the saga upside down by allowing players to freely explore an incredibly rich open world”. Just that. Especially since the world should be explorable in co-op by 4 players at the same time. The other promise of the game being a world to explore freely, independently of the main scenario. It now remains to be seen the extent of the ancillary activities proposed.
Too bad the graphics are incredible, but in a bad way. Because the GameFreak leg remains desperately visible, and we should probably not expect miracles.
The trailer also introduces five new Pokémon. Whose Koraidon and Miraidon – that’s their name – are the legendaries exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple respectively.
