On that fateful February 28, 2020, he consumed alcohol, cannabis and other drugs. But he couldn’t remember exactly. One of the co-drivers took photos at the Strichplatz and a police officer on the co-driver’s side gave him a hand signal to stop. «I reversed because I was in shock from the drugs.” he replies. The three colleagues in the back seat would have shouted: “Drive away!” This because one was on the «curve», so ran away from a home. However, all three passengers denied having asked him to drive away during the investigation. “They agreed.”
He then drove backwards and then went full throttle. He caught the policewoman on the handlebar side. “I didn’t see, feel or hear anything”, he claims. The judge mentions that the three colleagues in the back seat and the girlfriend in the passenger seat noticed something. The report also comes to this conclusion.
In the investigation, however, the accused said: “The policewoman pulled the gun, then I went full throttle.” A colleague is said to have shouted: “Shit, now you ran her over.” Today, however, the accused no longer wants to know anything about that, just as little as the others would have shouted: “Stop, stop!” However, the investigation had shown that the gun was still locked in the holster and the police officer could not have drawn it.
After the fact, he searched the Internet for plane tickets to Kosovo. He also wrote to a relative that he did not want to go to prison. Why? asks the judge, to which he replies: “I have no idea.” He only read about the seriously injured police officer in the newspaper the next morning.
