She remains second for the moment and still far behind Emmanuel Macron in voting intentions, but narrows the gap. She gains points in particular by capturing certain votes from LREM voters and those of the far right, shared between Marine Le Pen and Éric Zemmour.
Valérie Pécresse gains seven points to 17% of voting intention, behind Emmanuel Macron who loses 1.5 to 24%, in the Ipsos-Sopra Steria poll conducted for The world, the Jean-Jaurès Foundation and the Cevipof with a large sample of 10,928 people. Carried out from December 7 to 13, at the end of the right-wing primary, this poll confirms the dynamic of Valérie Pécresse who passes in front of Marine Le Pen and Éric Zemmour, both at 14.5%. Further on, the ecologist Yannick Jadot and the LFI Jean-Luc Mélenchon are also neck and neck at 8.5% in this third monthly study.

Abstention still very high
In detail, the LR candidate wins 1.5 points at the expense of Emmanuel Macron and Eric Zemmour, and takes a point from Marine Le Pen and even half a point on the left, says the study. She also confirms that many uncertainties persist with less than four months of the poll on April 10 and 24. Abstention thus remains at a very high level, with 61% of those questioned saying they are certain of going to vote in April, i.e. 9 points less than in December 2016.
The poll also shows that nearly a third of voters (30%) have changed their minds in the past two months, increasing volatility as the election approaches, with 47% of those polled believing that their choice may still change. . With 51% of her voters ensuring that their vote is final, Valérie Pécresse has the least solid base among the four favorites. It is 68% for Marine Le Pen, 65% for Emmanuel Macron and 61% for Éric Zemmour.
