Pope Francis’ message to Christians: “Look to Bethlehem”


In his “urbi et orbi” blessing, he lamented the conflicts, oppressions and famine that beset the world. He calls for an end to “this senseless war” in Ukraine.

At noon on December 25, all Catholics in the world look to Rome. The pope then addressed a Christmas message to them,Urbi and orbi(to the city and to the world), and leads them as if on a single path, towards the Holy Land. The Holy Land, fixed point of Christianity, its place of birth, its point of culmination. The Church knows the inexorable decline of Christians in her cradle but she will support them forever.

Hence the Pope’s insistence in this Nativity of 2022: we must “look towards Bethlehem“. You have to tastethe gift of peace” of “Jesus“.
