Fabrizio Soccorsi, Pope Francis' personal doctor, allegedly died of complications following a corona infection.

The personal doctor of Pope Francis (84) is said to have died of the consequences of a Covid 19 disease. This was reported by the Vatican newspaper "L'Osservatore Romano", according to media reports. Fabrizio Soccorsi (78), who has treated Francis as a personal doctor since 2015, was hospitalized on December 26th because of another health problem in Rome.

It is not known when Pope Francis last had contact with the doctor. According to "Corriere Della Sera", the head of the Catholic Church announced in a "TG5" interview that the Vatican will start the corona vaccinations next week and that he will also be vaccinated soon: "I have registered for it must be done."
