Popular Samsung Galaxy cell phone at a ridiculous price: Media Markt extends the deal

• The offer was part of the “AndroidWeeks” campaign and was valid until May 7, but has now apparently been extended.

The new 5G mobile communications standard promises a more stable network connection, even in large crowds, and faster data transfer when surfing the mobile network. While 5G is already included in the tariffs of many mobile phone providers at no extra charge, the corresponding 5G cell phones still cost at least 200 euros, possibly more. Media Markt now offers you such a smartphone for only 145 euros.

But this is not just any model, but the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G from last year. In the 4G version, the smartphone was one of the ten best-selling cell phones in the world. Compared to the mega seller, the 5G model offers the new mobile communications standard, a faster processor and a display with a higher refresh rate. You have to cut back on the camera with the A13 5G compared to the A13.

The offer was originally part of the “Android Weeks” campaign, which ended on May 7th. However, Media Markt is currently still offering at least the black color variant of the Galaxy A13 5G at a special price. It is not known how long the offer will remain in effect.

Is it still worth buying the Galaxy A13 5G 2023?

Especially with older, cheaper cell phones, the question always arises, is it still worth buying? After all, a successor is already available with the Galaxy A14 5G. This currently costs around 200 euros. In comparison, this offers a sharper and larger display and a better front camera. You have to decide whether these innovations are worth the extra cost to you.

The A13 5G is certainly not outdated yet. You can expect security updates for at least a few more years. There will probably no longer be an Android 14 update.
