We announced it at the beginning of October, and it is now done, POPULATION: ONE is about to release one of its biggest update, giving players and content creators the chance to let their imaginations run wild through the new mode Sandbox.
The mode Sandbox (sandbox) provides creation tools allowing, like Fortnite and Horizon Worlds, to create your own maps. Like other crafting systems, you’ll initially get many ports of maps came from other games before obtaining those that can take into account the specificities of the title of interest to us here. This is because said creators must first get their hands dirty with these new tools before they can match or surpass the cards included in the base game. You can make your map completely private, so people can play it the way you want them to. Or, some players may decide to make their cards or decks copyable, so anyone can search for that deck, save it to their own creation for editing, or change the rules in place.

It would also be very funny if POPULATION: ONE becomes in the coming months the reference of the metaverse that everyone is waiting for VRthus eclipsing a soft yet cut for that at the base … a certain Horizon Worlds.
POP1 sandbox will be available alongside traditional mode Battle Royale in early access starting at noon PT on December 14. The developers have hinted that they are planning seasonal updates for the main game and the sandbox.
