When the power fails, the reason is often not immediately obvious. There are many reasons for this: short circuits, construction work or even storms.
First and foremost, citizens want certainty when the electricity will finally be back. You can get this through the live map of the power outages in the fault information. You can call this up on your laptop or smartphone to check the situation in your area:

Just go to the live blackout map – if your browser asks for location sharing, you can safely block it. Instead, just zoom in on your area to see all the breaking news.
The blue-framed circles are reports from other citizens who have reported an unplanned power outage. You can also do that by clicking the orange button on the bottom left.
The red circles are mostly maintenance work, i.e. planned power outages that are over after an easily predictable time. You do not need to report this, but you can quickly get certainty about the duration of the failure.
