PPDA case: “I only sent boys”, the chilling story of a journalism school director

In Complément d’Enquête on April 28, a former director of the IPJ recalled having taken a radical decision so that her journalism students escaped the PPDA.

The revelations are linked around the case PPDA. While the star of TF1’s JT is suing for “slanderous denunciation” the sixteen women who accuse him of sexual assault and rape, Patrick Poivre d’Arvor was the subject of a dedicated additional investigation, broadcast on France 2 this Thursday, April 28. During the edifying investigation, the witnesses abounded and made statements, each more startling than the next.

Among the testimonies, that of Catherine Lambret, Director of studies at the Institut Pratique du Journaliste between 1982 and 2002, should be remembered. Invited to confide, the ex-director of the IPJ could not have been clearer, confirming the rumors in the hallway. At the time, it was out of the question for her to send female students on an internship with PPDA: “They [Des journalistes, ndlr] advised me never to send girls where PPDA might be. I only sent boys […] It was his reputation, he attacked girls. For ten years, I never sent a girl on an internship at TF1“, she says openly.

PPDA “could pounce on you”

Asked about his wordsserious” by the journalist who interviewed her, Catherine Lambret recounts that the situation was such that: “All the editorial journalists at the time said thatyou shouldn’t stay at the end of the day, be the last to leave because PPDA might throw itself on you.“. A chilling story, which adds to those of the victims, and to the incongruous testimony of the journalist Christine Ockrent on the narcissism of his ex-colleague, who, according to his memories, had a bust of him in his office.
