Pregnant in prison, she makes a bewildering request to be released

Incarcerated after having shot a woman in cold blood in the streets of Miami, an American made a completely incongruous request to try to get out of prison: pregnant, the latter assured that her fetus had nothing to do behind bars because that he is innocent.

This is called taking a chance. But first, let’s get back to the facts. In July 2022, a group of friends were partying in Miami. Determined to continue their evening until the end of the night, these six people took an Uber to continue the festivities in a downtown nightclub. But in the middle of the ride, two women started arguing inside the car. And the least we can say is that everything went wrong.

One of them, Gladys Borcela, 28, comes to blows with her pregnant friend, Natalia Harrell, 24. To defend herself, the latter took out a gun from her purse and in order to shoot him. What caused a huge movement of panic: the group of friends jumped from the Uber. All except Gladys Borcela, mortally wounded.

The judge may not appreciate his request

Logically arrested by the police, Natalia Harrel explained that she had fired because she was afraid for her baby during the fight. Something that was obviously not retained by the judge, who decided to imprison him immediately for the murder of his friend. But last week, her lawyer filed an urgent request that she be released pending trial…

The latter explained that her fetus had nothing to do behind bars because he is innocent. The lawyer for the culprit therefore ordered the immediate release of the baby, which would therefore lead to that of the mother. You will have to be very persuasive for this request to be accepted.
