A 42-year-old British woman, Alexis Brett, is pregnant for the 13th time. To explain it, she developed a completely crazy theory: she would be immune to female contraception, with supporting evidence.
An exception of nature. In 2019, while pregnant with her eleventh child, a woman named Alexis Brett told British media “there will be no others”. Three years after the birth of little Cameron, who has ten older brothers, Alexis Brett is now pregnant for the… thirteenth time in her life. According to her, the quarantine would be “immune against female contraception”. A crazy theory that she does not hesitate to explain.
Mom of Campbell (19), Harrison (18), Corey (16), Lachlan (13), Brodie (11), Brahn (10), Hunter (8), Mack (7) , Blake (5 years old), Rothagaidh (4 years old), Cameron (soon to be 3 years old), and Orran (15 months), is therefore expecting a 13th child, who will be her second granddaughter. “It never mattered to me whether it was a boy or a girl, it was just a shock to have had ten boys in a row.“, she confided.
“I’m ready to have my tubes tied”
Alexis Brett has necessarily been contacted by several media to tell his daily life as a mother of a family … very large. A stay-at-home mother, her husband David is a former train conductor who was forced to retire last year due to an early form of Parkinson’s disease. Which doesn’t help matters. “I wouldn’t go back to work with thirteen kids. David does most of the errands, my second son drives and can take me when I need to go,” explains the one who has never had time to pass her driving license.
His house, made up of five bedrooms, is distributed in a very orderly way: on one side, the teenagers, on the other, the middle and smallest are all in the same room. The siblings help each other on a daily basis. “Of course, there are comments about the number of children we have, especially when I am pregnant again. I never planned on having a big family, but now that I do, I love it“, explains Alexis, who assured that she did not want to have a 14th child. For real this time?
