The launch of the Poco F5 and the F5 Pro is approaching. On May 9th, the Xiaomi brand wants to present its new mid-range smartphones. In advance, the Chinese manufacturer reveals all sorts of details about the cell phones on Twitter. The company’s latest tweet makes you sit up and take notice – it announces a premiere: The Poco F5 Pro will support wireless charging for the first time.

So you can charge your phone wirelessly. All you need is a corresponding Qi-enabled charging station. If you want to exploit the full potential of the cell phone, it is probably advisable to buy it directly from Poco. Because the Poco F5 Pro can be charged wirelessly with up to 30 watts. The charging power is far above the Qi standard, which is why a special station is necessary. We could imagine that there will be a corresponding bundle to buy from Poco for the launch.

The support of wireless charging is not only a premiere for Poco, so far only a few smartphones in the middle class support this convenience feature. The function may therefore be an important selling point for the Poco F5 Pro. You can of course follow the event live on Netzwelt from 2 p.m. on May 9th.
