Premiere in Graz Opera – A decadent society celebrates its downfall

An interlude by the ballet school (choreography: Beate Vollack) and the performance by the singing school (director: Andrea Fournier) complement the hustle and bustle of the choir and extra choir, who stand out as veritable actors. It is probably due to the meticulous work with choir director Bernhard Schneider that they sing in addition to all the “action” – after all, the whole audience room is recorded. The three soloists also do an excellent job, convincing with their anger, confusion and sadness, which they can transfer perfectly into their singing.
