Presidential 2022: Emmanuel Macron credited with 53% of voting intentions in the second round

Qualified for the second round of the presidential election against Marine Le Pen, Emmanuel Macron collects 53% of voting intentions in the latest CNEWS / OpinionWay barometer unveiled on Wednesday.

23% of French people questioned did not express any voting intentions.

The vote reports show that the voters in the first round of Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Valérie Pécresse are divided between the Macron vote and the Le Pen vote. The voters of Yannick Jadot should mainly vote for Emmanuel Macron, while those of Eric Zemmour seem to turn massively to Marine Le Pen.

The sociological data from the survey indicate that those under 35 favor the Marine Le Pen vote (57%) while Emmanuel Macron appeals to 57% of those over 35 and up to 62% of those over 65.

Unsurprisingly, the CSP+ mainly turn to Emmanuel Macron (69%) while the CSP- choose Marine Le Pen (71%).

As a reminder, five years ago, Emmanuel Macron won the presidential election with 66.10% of the vote, against 33.90% for the candidate of the National Rally (RN).
