Presidential 2022: Eric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen tied, according to a poll

According to an Ipsos-Sopra Steria poll conducted this Saturday, February 5, for Le Parisien Today-in-France and France Info, Eric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen are tied.

Indeed, the two far-right candidates each show 14% of voting intentions in the first round, in this new survey unveiled today.

Thus Marine Le Pen sees herself losing three points, while Eric Zemmour gains two. Obviously, the question of the last successive rallies to Eric Zemmour coming straight from the National Rally arises in this advantage of points enjoyed by the leader of Reconquest.

Although this idea remains plausible, it is nevertheless “not certain”, as Mathieu Gallard, the director of studies in the public affairs department at Ipsos, points out to France Info. He specifies that, “they are not well-known personalities either, they do not bring elements of competence to Eric Zemmour”.

However, “these rallies created a little music with the electorate in the second round,” he said.

For her part, Valérie Pécresse gains 0.5 points, allowing her to reach 16.5% of voting intention, and to stand out a little more from her rivals from the far right.
