Medef yesterday presented its proposals for the presidential election at a press conference. Sovereignty, employment, taxation, environment… Two months before the first round, the employers’ organization has left nothing to chance and intends to put all its weight on the campaign.

DECRYPTION

Medef wants to make its voice heard. Two months before the first round of the presidential election, the employers’ organization proposed yesterday during a press conference fifty ideas to the candidates. Sovereignty, employment, taxation, environment… Nothing has been left to chance. Proof that the Medef intends to weigh all its weight on the campaign…

The image of the company is at its highest

To formulate its fifty proposals, the Medef started from a simple principle: thanks to the Covid crisis, the image of the company is at its highest. But, in return, the French expect more. “That’s why we have to position ourselves in this campaign,” says its president, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux.

The company, great national cause of the quinquennium

Especially since the economy is struggling to find its place in the middle of the debate. Management doesn’t just want to infuse programs. He also wants to interrogate. The Medef organizes an event at the beginning of February with all the candidates. That of the Center for Young Leaders will be held in mid-March. The CPME, which represents small and medium-sized enterprises, will hold several discussion sessions. A first date has already been set for March 16. Anne Hidalgo, Valérie Pécresse and Eric Zemmour will be invited to answer questions from small business owners. The objective is clear: to ensure that the company is elected a major national cause for the next five-year term.
