He felt that we “have never accepted a woman at the head of France” and that she has, according to him, the shoulders to be elected next April, tackling the head of state in passing.
“What is it to be President of the Republic? Is it to be able to make speeches? We are not at the Star Academy or at the theater. If we want an actor, we have an excellent one at the Elysée who is able to do mornings and evenings,” he said. “What I want is to have someone who carries the transformation of the country”. The former Minister of Defense also felt that an assessment of the five-year term will be necessary once Emmanuel Macron has formalized his candidacy.
Pécresse “cut to be head of state”
“Valérie Pécresse is a courageous, hardworking, valiant and solid woman who, despite the wave, holds her ground and wants to carry a political project for France. I have never seen such a ready, solid project”, continued Hervé Morin, who said she is “cut to be head of state”.
“When you are president there are difficult times and you have to be able to embody them and carry a country when it is in difficulty”, he continued, before acknowledging that the candidate LR is going through a complicated period, “where she takes buckets on her head”.
