Actress Lindsey Shaw has shared the reasons for her rather sudden dismissal from the series “Pretty Little Liars”, in which she played the character of Paige McCullers.

I was really bad. I was called into the Pretty Little Liars creator’s office and she said, ‘we’re going to let you go. Your acting is not in question, but do you have someone to talk to?’ I said no and she added: ‘find someone; but we can’t go on [à travailler] with you as it is.
It was therefore necessary to leave his character. Paige was Emily’s (Shay Mitchell) lover, intense swimmer, and hated the character of Alison (played by Sasha Pieterse). His departure was covered in episode 14 of season 5:
