Behringer’s (Antoine Monot Jr.) new case comes to fruition in an unexpected way when his nephew Ole (Maximilian Kaiser) makes a shocking discovery during a fishing trip: he pulls ashore the body of a woman with her heart missing. Is a ritual murderer in Bamberg on the way? The investigation takes a surprising turn when Behringer finds out that there is a connection to the robbery in which his former colleague Charly was shot and seriously injured.

Emergency doctor Nina (Sabrina Amali) is convinced: the laceration of her patient Ms. Ahrens is the result of domestic violence. But what if the woman doesn’t want to accept help? Meanwhile, Nina’s team is distracted: When they find out that they are the slowest team in the entire Mannheim fire department, they don’t want to accept it. But training for the Fire Fighter Challenge leads to arguments because Billy (Anna Schimrigk), the only firefighter in the force, doesn’t want any special treatment.
