In the first, “Tatort” commissioner Murot is robbed by a con artist. The dark magician Grindelwald sets out for Paris in “Fantastic Animal Beings 2” (ProSieben). Four “temporary gangsters” fight for their pension on RTLzwei.

8:15 p.m., The First, Crime Scene: Murot and the Law of Karma, thriller

Inspector Murot (Ulrich Tukur) is engaged in a conversation at a hotel bar by a younger woman (Anna Unterberger). Over a glass of red wine, Murot plays with her and cheerfully pretends to be an insurance salesman. The next morning he wakes up in his hotel room with no wallet and no memory of what happened. Murot hides from his employee Wächter (Barbara Philipp) that he has been robbed by a con artist. But Wächter is already watching him suspiciously, because that same night a high-ranking IT expert (Dirk Martens) was found murdered in the hotel.

Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) learns that Credence (Ezra Miller), believed dead, is still alive and in Paris looking for his birth family. At Dumbledore’s (Jude Law) request, Newt travels to France to protect the boy, since the wizard Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) is also after Credence. Can Dumbledore’s allies thwart Grindelwald’s sinister plans, or will they fall into his clutches themselves?

Ex-nurse Jantje (Karla Nina Diedrich) is certain: the idyllic campsite “Malibu” in Holstein Switzerland is the key to her new life. No amount of quirky long-term campers or difficult, new guests can stop them from doing so. With all her strength she wants to make the ramshackle place fit for the future in harmony with nature. If only her husband Stefan (Tom Radisch) were by her side. Because the whole family has a hard time with the long-distance relationship.

The four “back-up gangsters” are actually quite normal guys, but they embark on a daring burglary coup. They all work in an exclusive skyscraper in New York. After a nasty Wall Street swindler made his billions in losses with their pension funds, among other things, they decide to strike back. In order to somehow get their pension, they want to confront the brazen investment fraudster in his exclusive skyscraper penthouse.

10:15 p.m., ZDF, The Perfect Mother, thriller drama

The Frenchwoman Hélène (Julie Gayet) has lived in Berlin for 20 years and leads a picture-book life with her husband Matthias, a well-known surgeon, and their two children Anya (Eden Ducourant) and Lukas (Maxim Driesen). But the day after Hélène’s birthday, things got out of joint. Anya is on the phone and desperately tells her mother that she should be questioned in a murder case. Anya turns out to be the prime suspect in the murder of Damien Carnau, a wealthy heir who was found stabbed to death in his Paris apartment.
