McDonald’s, Burger King and Subway – Sebastian Lege shows what’s really in burgers, shakes and sandwiches. Burger King advertises grilled meat over an open fire, but the only thing behind it is an efficient machine. Subway’s teriyaki sandwich has little to do with the Asian classic. And McDonald’s milkshake is made primarily from water. Fast food companies are criticized for their high-calorie food and produce an enormous amount of packaging waste every year. Employee rights and hygiene deficiencies are other topics that the film deals with.
