Leonard (Heino Ferch) and Judith (Tanja Wedhorn) have little in common. He is a math professor who loves solitude and avoids other people. Judith, on the other hand, enjoys being around people at her job in the campus café and is open to unusual ideas. This also includes the plan of her long-term affair Stefan (Knut Berger) to smuggle her into the academic world without studying. Without further ado, Stefan, in his capacity as head of PR at the university, creates a new educational series out of the ground and urges Leonard to get students excited about the magic of numbers.

Scientist Will Rodman (James Franco) is working feverishly on a drug that can defeat Alzheimer’s. For test purposes, he treats chimpanzees with the preparation. One of the test animals inherits the genetic changes thus produced to its offspring. Baby chimpanzee Caesar (Andy Serkis) soon becomes a permanent member of Will’s family. When the monkey realizes that he is more of a pet than a human being, an unstoppable change begins in him.

10:20 p.m., the first, crime scene: the monster of Kassel, thriller

Anna Janneke (Margarita Broich) and Paul Brix (Wolfram Koch), chief inspectors in Frankfurt, are called to a gruesome find: body parts wrapped in plastic bags. It quickly turns out that the victim comes from Kassel. It’s 17-year-old Luke Rohde, stepson of the nation’s sunny boy, popular television talk show host Maarten Jansen (Barry Atsma). Jansen had led an idyllic family life with his wife Kirsten (Stephanie Eidt) and their two sons from their first marriage.
