Tomboy, child of nature, duchess: this is Elisabeth (Dominique Devenport), called Sisi, and she is freshly in love. Mother Ludovica (Julia Stemberger) quickly put an end to her daughter’s enthusiasm for a count who was not befitting her class, because her sister was to marry Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria (Jannik Schümann). Sisi reluctantly travels to Bad Ischl, where the engagement is to take place. But already at the first meeting there is a strong connection between Sisi and Franz.
